Jimmy Sherlock

Founder of Reborn Foundation

Jimmy’s philanthropic journey began in 2012 with the Reborn Foundation, inspired by his experiences in Kenya. The foundation has sponsored over 500 children from underprivileged slums with full educational funding, enabled higher education for more than 50 students, and seen over 30 graduates become professionals and entrepreneurs.

Their school feeding program provides daily nutritious meals, improving children’s well-being and educational outcomes.
Reborn International has built 20 computer labs in schools across Kenya and Haiti. Through Reborn Outreach, Jimmy supports projects including orphanages, schools, clinics, hospitals, and microfinancing initiatives in financially devastated countries.

Jimmy’s innovative approach creates sustainable change by implementing new products and services through his companies, generating job opportunities that empower communities to lift themselves out of poverty. This blend of entrepreneurial spirit and social mission exemplifies his commitment to lasting change.

His career spans over three decades of success. In 1980, he founded Aegis Ryan Group, which became the largest auto insurance brokerage in the U.S. In 1982, he created the “GAP” product for the auto industry. He co-founded One-Command, recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest-growing U.S. companies in 2008. He founded Galactic Technologies, whose product, EnviroSeal, set the world record for the fastest street car at a standing mile.

Jimmy’s humanitarian efforts have earned him numerous accolades, including a Proclamation from Newark’s Mayor Booker, the Torch Bearer Award from the World Harmony Run, and a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition. In 2017, he received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor alongside Buzz Aldrin, recognizing his commitment to sharing knowledge and wealth while upholding American ideals.
